Award winning Executive recruitment company, Monroe Consulting Group is partnering with a well-established chemical manufacturing company to appoint a General Manager to lead its Thailand operations. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional who can drive business performance, operational excellence, and strategic growth across the organization. This job is based in Bangkok, Thailand.

The General Manager will lead and oversee the company's overall operations in Thailand, with full responsibility for key business functions including production, sales, finance, and plant administration. Working closely with the Managing Director and department heads, this role will drive strategic alignment across all functions to ensure operational excellence, sustainable growth, and strong business performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the business, overseeing production, sales, finance, and operational functions.

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic business plans that drive growth and operational efficiency.

  • Manage and develop a team of department heads, ensuring strong cross-functional collaboration.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, investors, and senior management.

  • Ensure full compliance with Thai regulations and industry standards across all departments.

  • Oversee plant administration and operational coordination, acting as a key link between the manufacturing site and corporate office.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.

  • Support business growth initiatives by identifying operational improvements, strengthening internal capabilities, and ensuring the organization is well-positioned to meet future market demands.

Job Requirements

  • Multiple years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, with significant exposure to business operations, plant management, or general management roles.

  • Proven experience in overseeing multi-functional operations, including production, sales, finance, and plant administration.

  • Strong business acumen, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in English and Thai, knowledge in Hindi will be a plus.
