Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a conglomerate company specializing in various sectors. Our respective client is looking for an Internal Audit Head who will ensure the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes across the organization. This role provides strategic direction, oversees audit planning and execution, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. This role will be reporting to the SVP with onsite work set-up and is located in Pasig City.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, risk-based annual audit plan aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead and mentor the internal audit team, ensuring professional development and high performance.
- Provide strategic insights to senior management regarding emerging risks and control improvements.
Audit Planning & Execution:
- Oversee end-to-end internal audit activities, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-ups.
- Review audit reports to ensure accuracy, clarity, timeliness, and alignment with audit standards.
- Ensure corrective action recommendations are practical and add value to the organization.
Governance, Risk & Compliance:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Liaise with regulators, external auditors, and key stakeholders to support compliance and audit initiatives.
Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with business units to promote a strong culture of risk awareness and internal control.
- Provide recommendations on process improvements, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Report significant audit findings, risk assessments, and control issues to the Audit Committee and executive leadership.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- CPA, CIA, or other relevant certifications strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or external audit, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of internal auditing standards, risk assessment methodologies, and corporate governance principles.
- Experience in highly regulated industries (banking, finance, insurance, etc.) is an advantage
