Monroe Consulting Group is partnering with a leading and fast-growing integrated property development group in Indonesia to identify a commercially driven and visionary Managing Director. This role is designed for a strategic leader with strong operational command and a proven track record in scaling real estate businesses, driving profitability, and leading large, multidisciplinary teams.
This is a board-level position with full P&L accountability and oversight across development, commercial strategy, operations, finance, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute long-term corporate strategy aligned with shareholder objectives
- Lead end-to-end property development lifecycle: land acquisition, feasibility studies, project development, sales & marketing, construction oversight, and asset optimization
- Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and sustainable expansion of the portfolio (residential, commercial, mixed-use, and/or township projects)
- Strengthen organizational structure, governance, and operational excellence across business units
- Manage stakeholder relationships including investors, joint venture partners, financial institutions, regulators, and key clients
- Ensure strong financial discipline, capital management, and investment decision-making
- Identify new growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and land bank expansion
- Foster a high-performance culture with strong leadership bench strength and succession planning
Requirements
- Minimum 15-20 years of experience in property development or real estate, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role (CEO, COO, Deputy MD, or equivalent)
- Proven track record managing large-scale property projects and multi-asset portfolios
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated P&L ownership
- Solid understanding of Indonesian property regulations, land acquisition processes, and development cycles
- Experience leading large, cross-functional teams
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability
- Excellent stakeholder management and board communication skills
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or postgraduate degree preferred
