You will be responsible for managing full life cycle of motor product development underwriting operation by initiating new product strategy, analysing client and/or business partner's requirement, researching insurance market insight, proposing the product proposal to committee and insurance regulatory, launching new product, as well as managing the overall performance of motor products through all distribution channels.

Job responsibilities

  • Own go-to-market strategy and execution of advanced pricing concepts through motor system enablement to successfully deliver business results.
  • Led new product development and innovation including the filing process with OIC.
  • Led the digital transformation and underwrite and product-related projects with IT and related stakeholders including requirement refinement, prioritization, and UAT.
  • Regularly review underwriting operational processes and make needed adjustments to ensure efficiency and accuracy of the pricing and coverages offered to the market.
  • Be a product representative in companywide projects and initiatives.
  • Lead a team of 3-4 people - recruit, coach and built the next generation of underwrite managers to work in a rapidly changing insurance landscape.

Job requirements

  • Multiple years of relevant experience managing portfolio and system-related projects for an insurance company; will consider related work experience instead of direct insurance-related experience.
  • Ability to communicate in English is a plus
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with external partners and internal departments.
