Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of an international, family-owned company specializing in automation and technical education solutions. Our esteemed client is seeking an Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business. This role is key to ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant operational processes across logistics, purchasing, administration, and human resources.
Job Purpose:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operational performance of the organization. This includes ensuring that services are delivered efficiently and effectively, aligning with the expectations of clients, regulatory requirements, and the company's strategic goals. The role also plays a crucial part in process improvement, internal coordination, and business planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Management
- Oversee maintenance and repair of company vehicles and delivery vans
- Approve and manage daily delivery schedules and logistics activities
- Track delivery performance, transport costs, and efficiency metrics
- Ensure quality and timeliness of deliveries and resolve logistics-related issues
- Direct and optimize the end-to-end order and delivery cycle
Purchasing & Importation
- Approve purchase requisitions, orders, and importation documents
- Handle costing of landed goods (e.g., machinery, parts, ingredients, etc.)
- Coordinate with suppliers and shipping partners for order and shipment tracking
- Supervise importation processes, including broker coordination and shipment releasing
- Monitor and approve indent order contracts, bookings, and duty/tax computations
- Forecast demand and inventory for raw and traded materials
- Lead sourcing and supplier management strategies to ensure quality and cost efficiency
Administrative Oversight
- Oversee maintenance of company facilities and equipment
- Ensure timely renewal and compliance with all permits and licenses (FDA, DOLE, vehicle registration, mechanical/electrical permits, etc.)
- Approve cash advances, reimbursements, petty cash expenses, and payment vouchers
- Monitor and approve payments for utilities and other operational expenses
- Contribute to organizational planning and risk mitigation through insurance and compliance oversight
Human Resource Management
- Implement and monitor HR policies and programs
- Coordinate HR communications (e.g., memos, employee updates)
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation
- Review employee compensation and benefits for recommendation
- Support employee engagement, development, and resolution of personnel concerns
- Promote operational efficiency and cross-functional communication within teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in operations, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors
- Strong background in logistics, purchasing, and regulatory compliance
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is an advantage
- Willing to work onsite in Quezon City
