Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of an IT Services and Auditing company. Our respective client is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel who has strong independence, sound commercial judgment, and broad legal expertise spanning contract law, corporate governance, labor law, and regulatory compliance. Will also act as the primary liaison with government regulators and external legal counsel, ensuring that the company's legal interests are protected and aligned with its business objectives. This role will be reporting to the Senior Advisor to the Shareholders and is located in Ortigas/Makati with onsite work requirement.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice to senior leadership on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement compliance programs aligned with PAGCOR, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and other applicable Philippine laws.
  • Drive full compliance with the Data Privacy Act, ensuring all organizational practices uphold data protection standards.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate complex contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Lead or oversee litigation and dispute resolution matters, working closely with external counsel as needed.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Labour Code and DOLE standards.
  • Monitor legal risk in corporate governance, business operations, and compliance, and recommend proactive measures.
  • Support corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Oversee internal legal staff and delegate tasks appropriately; provide mentorship and development support.
  • Ensure timely and effective compliance with local, national, and international laws, especially in regulated industries.
  • Participate in board and executive-level meetings to provide legal input on key initiatives.
  • Represent the organization in high-level negotiations and external engagements.
  • Manage visa and work permit processes for expatriate employees.
  • Maintain compliance with Bureau of Immigration regulations.
  • Provide strategic immigration advice in support of international hiring.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of law, must be a member of the Philippine Bar
  • At least 10 yrs experience in legal
  • Preferably with experience in gaming, finance or tech Industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent management and presentation abilities; goal-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Physically and emotionally resilient, able to perform effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Flexible and resourceful in challenging and changing situations
