Senior Manager - Supply Chain Management

Monroe Consulting Group Philippines, an executive search firm, is recruiting on behalf of a Japanese multinational electronics company and one of the world's leading manufacturers of printers and information- and imaging-related equipment. The company is seeking a highly driven and experienced Supply Chain Manager with strong analytical and presentation skills and in-depth expertise in Supply Chain Operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Demand and Supply Management, Order Management, Trade Management, and Logistics Management. The role will be based in Ortigas, Pasig City, with flexible working hours.

Job Summary

The Country Supply Chain Management (SCM) Lead is responsible for overseeing all SCM activities within the country and ensuring that all processes and practices comply with local regulations. This role works closely with the Regional Headquarters (RHQ) SCM team by providing country-specific insights to support the successful development of regional SCM strategies. As a strategic SCM business partner, the role collaborates with key stakeholders and managers to ensure the effective, efficient, and compliant delivery of SCM services that meet business requirements and support country growth.

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities

Demand and Supply Management

  • Lead strategic planning and execution of supply and demand forecasting in collaboration with PM/BU, aligned with Japan HQ and factories
  • Design optimal management-to-distribution policies, including the Hub-and-Spoke concept
  • Apply in-depth analysis of historical, current, and future trends to forecast requirements accurately
  • Set forecast limits and approve demand projections
  • Plan and maintain optimal inventory levels by establishing inventory guidelines
  • Develop processes to monitor inventory levels across products in both the short and long term
  • Synchronize supply chain activities and integrate processes across stakeholders to ensure visibility of customer demand, supply, production forecasts, and in-transit materials

Order Management

  • Oversee daily order management operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Lead regional process harmonization initiatives, including automation, to streamline order management processes
  • Manage diverse customer orders and resolve major complaints or escalations
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve order management efficiency and seamlessness
  • Ensure accurate SAP data entry and maintenance, and provide insights and reports on key performance metrics

Trade Management

  • Ensure compliance with international and local import and export regulations
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of tax, regulatory, and process requirements related to trade activities
  • Coordinate with import and export partners to ensure service expectations are met

Logistics Management

  • Develop and implement a formal logistics strategy across multiple product categories, balancing business priorities and resource constraints
  • Oversee major changes or enhancements to logistics operations
  • Promote sustainability initiatives, including drop-shipment strategies
  • Manage the movement and storage of products and parts within warehouses
  • Monitor product lifecycles, anticipate warehousing risks, and implement proactive action plans
  • Ensure end-to-end transparency of information flow, visibility, and logistics services with minimal disruption
  • Control logistics costs within budget, applying cost-benefit analyses to maximize efficiency
  • Conduct monthly reviews of 3PL performance and KPIs, and implement timely corrective actions


Stakeholder and Risk Management

  • Monitor and manage the performance of partner vendors
  • Analyze trends and historical data to forecast partner requirements and mitigate risks

Critical Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, logistics, or shared services, with supervisory responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of Planning and Budgeting, Logistics, and Finance & Accounting
  • Proficiency in SAP SD and MM modules is an advantage
  • Detailed understanding of governing bodies, procedures, regulatory rules, and policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Relevant professional certification or qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is preferred
