Tax Manager - Coal Mining (based in Jakarta)
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading national company with a core focus on mining. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a Tax professional with at least 10 years' experience with a coal mining company for the job of Tax Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Develop and continuous reviews of the organization's compliance program to ensure all internal practices adhere to applicable tax laws.
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely annual tax returns, monitoring the preparation and reviewing monthly tax returns.
- Collaborate with internal and/or tax consultant to ensure all direct, indirect, and/or withholding taxes are calculated and submitted appropriately.
- Inspect legal means of reducing tax liability and analyze income tax deductions or non-deductions items and advise senior management on compliance risks and tax liabilities regarding our corporate strategies, including emerging laws and trends.
- Maintain the company's tax position by collecting, preparing, arguments and delivering relevant corporate documentation to tax auditors.
- Participate in the creation and implementation of the organization's tax strategy and guidelines.
- Supervise and reviews subordinate work and responsibilities.
- Developing soft and hard skills of tax staff/supervisor/assistant manager and providing ongoing support and mentorship.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Fiscal Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- Having min 10 years of experience in Tax Compliance.
- Superior mathematical and analytical skills and an eye for detail
- Experience with preparing and submitting tax returns, tax objection and/or tax appeal letter
- Familiarity with tax policies and regulations
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Having BKP (bersertifikat konsultan pajak) and/or tax brevet C are considered a plus
- Preferred to have experience in a mining company
