VP of Network Optimization & Planning (Commerce)

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading quick commerce company. As the business continues its rapid expansion, our client is seeking a senior professional with deep expertise in network design, logistics strategy, and operational optimization for the role of Vice President of Network Optimization. The position will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

  • Design and optimize network structures-including hubs, warehouses, and distribution routes-to maximize coverage, cost efficiency, and service quality.
  • Lead the development and execution of long-term network strategies that balance efficiency with customer experience.
  • Oversee financial modeling and planning (capex, opex, ROI) to ensure operational and financial alignment with company goals.
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities for network expansion, partnerships, and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance metrics such as utilization, service levels, cost per order, and fulfillment efficiency.
  • Drive continuous cost optimization and ensure strong financial discipline across the network.
  • Conduct regular reviews of network performance to highlight risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Benchmark against industry best practices to ensure competitiveness and adaptability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Technology, Strategy) to enable seamless execution of network initiatives.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team specializing in planning, analytics, and network development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in network strategy, logistics, supply chain, finance, or business development.
  • Proven success in designing, scaling, and optimizing distribution or fulfillment networks in high-growth industries.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, P&L management, and network planning.
  • Familiarity with logistics systems and tools (e.g., warehouse management, routing optimization, control towers).
  • Demonstrated ability to combine strategic planning with hands-on operational execution.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
