Executive Search Firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting an Accounting Manager on behalf of a Food FMCG company based in Navotas, Manila. The role will directly report to the CFO and will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordinate the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports.
  • Support the VP for Finance/Chief Financial Officer with daily banking requirements.
  • Ensure the prompt and accurate filing of all government-mandated taxes.
  • Oversee the processing of accounts payables.
  • Validate the accuracy of subsidiary ledger per business unit for assets and liabilities.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities and reconciliations.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to accomplish department goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental work to identify and implement more efficient procedures.
  • Provide guidance to staff on handling non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Assist in preparing for year-end audits.
  • Supervise the general ledger group to ensure compliance with financial reporting deadlines.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new procedures to improve department workflow.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as necessary.
  • Address personnel issues and oversee the professional development of staff.
  • Other duties as required.


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA license
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience (financial analyses and reporting, statutory and regulatory compliance, etc)
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and other department managers
