Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of MNC Engineering company that specializes in engineering designs for major process plants. Our highly-respected client is seeking an experienced purchasing executive, with at least 2 years' experience in purchasing for the job of Purchasing Executive. The job is based in Shah Alam.

Role Summary:

  • Monitoring all Purchase Requisition receive and request for quotation and place order.
  • To ensure all the purchases in right source, quality, quantity, delivery and price.
  • To negotiate for the best prices and payment term for every purchase while maintaining the highest level of quality, reliability and services.
  • To monitor order on time delivery and avoid any interruptions with production operation and other department.
  • Responsible in vendor sourcing, selection and vendor performance evaluation.
  • Ensure ISO requirement and documentation are properly maintained.
  • Responsible in assisting for supplier's audit.
  • To manager all purchasing record are up to date, generate periodical and any purchasing report.
  • To assist and prepare monthly purchase report, update approval vendor list if required and assisting in yearly vendor performance assessment.
  • Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as instructed by superior from time to time.


Key job requirements include:

  • Min 2 years' experience in purchasing/procurement with exposure in purchasing heavy industrial equipment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Have outstanding communication skills and able to effectively liaise with external parties to ensure meet requirements and standards.
  • Possess good negotiation skills and comparison skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with less supervision.
  • Able to solve-problem effectively and ensures orders are placed and received on time.
  • Fluent in utilizing Microsoft Excel.
  • Polished and professional image.

  • Efficient time management and activity planning skills.
